Miles's Story
Miles was born and raised here in Maine. However, when the time came to go University, he chose to venture outside the United States, enrolling himself in an Art History program in Rome. Years later, after receiving his Bachelors degree in Italy, it was time to return home. This led him to more practical studies. Within months of landing back in Maine he compiled a multitude of certifications in Heavy Equipment Operation.
Combining the knowledge gained from building homes, with a lifetime of involvement in real estate, Miles was brought on as an appraisal trainee at Portfolio Appraisals to provide opinions of value on the homes he knew so well. Now, as Head of Portfolio Appraisals, He either personally inspects or overseas the inspection and valuation of properties throughout Maine.

It is the translation of these skills that led Miles to his second position within the business, Vice President of Land Acquisition at Portfolio Development. We believe that his ability to provide market valuations, and understanding of all things real estate are essential aspects of land acquisition both in the board room, and out on job sites.
